About the Role
An interesting startup company is looking for a strategic yet highly hands-on VP Human Resources to lead and own the global people function. This role is ideal for a leader who is eager to grow together with the company, understands the realities of a scaling startup, and is comfortable operating both at the strategic and execution levels.
The VP HR will be responsible for building a strong people strategy while actively driving day-to-day HR execution. A key focus of the role is creating and sustaining a culture of a winning team, characterized by ownership, collaboration, excellence, and commitment to being the best in our domain.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the entire HR function, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Experience & Well-being, and HR Operations.
Define and execute a global HR strategy, while remaining deeply involved in hands-on execution.
Build scalable hiring and onboarding processes globally, with continued support for U.S. hiring needs.
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while personally driving key initiatives.
Partner closely with founders, executives, and managers on organizational design, leadership development, and workforce planning.
Support and coach managers at all levels; develop mid-level leaders and emerging managers.
Build, nurture, and protect a strong organizational culture and a winning team mindset.
Drive employee engagement, well-being, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Serve as an approachable, trusted point of contact for employees.
Build and manage annual HR work plans aligned with company growth and priorities.
Work effectively with senior leadership, board members, and investors.
Requirements
5-7+ years of HR leadership experience in fast-growing tech or startup environments.
Proven experience leading a full HR function end-to-end.
Demonstrated success scaling at least one organization.
Strong strategic thinking combined with a clear hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
Desire and ability to grow with the company over time.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience in cybersecurity is a strong advantage.
