Principal Software Engineer

An interesting Cloud Security startup company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer (Architect Level) to join it's team!
Location: Tel Aviv (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
The Role:

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be the technical authority and architect of our core systems. You will take full ownership of products and features—from high-level architectural design to hands-on delivery.

  • Architectural Leadership: Design and build high-scale, high-availability distributed systems using Go and Microservices.

  • Full-Stack Impact: While focusing heavily on complex backend architecture, you’ll also ensure seamless front-end experiences with React.

  • AI-Driven Development: We don’t just build AI products; we use them. You will lead the way in integrating AI tools (like Cursor and others) into our workflow to accelerate development and stay ahead of the curve.

  • Production-First Mindset: Test MVPs directly in production with real users, iterate based on feedback, and ensure long-term system stability.

  • Ownership & Support: Jump in as a "Support Hero" when needed—understanding customer pain points is key to building a great product.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of reaching Principal or Architect levels.

  • Distributed Systems Expert: Deep understanding of high-scale systems, B2B complexity, and performance optimization. You know that building a "system" is more than just building an "app."

  • Tech Stack Mastery: Extensive experience with Go (Golang) and Microservices. Proficiency in React is required for full-stack delivery.

  • Cloud Security Background: Experience with multi-cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) or cloud operations is a significant advantage.

  • Academic Excellence: Degree in Computer Science from a leading university OR an alum of elite tech units (8200, Mamram, etc.).

  • AI-Forward: Comfortable and enthusiastic about using AI tools (such as Cursor) to 10x development speed.

  • Product Mindset: You think like a founder. You’re focused on building great products for users, not just writing clean code.

  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to guide cross-functional teams (designers, PMs, and engineers) and articulate complex technical visions clearly.
